Thus spake, Alison Kanuga, the jury member of "Get Gorgeous 4" (courtesy Channel [V]). Never mind that her own personality that resembles all the collagen (which looks like its coming off her face) in her system. Fake and plastic.
I hate to break this to you Alison, but if you pick potential candidates for this immensely frivolous show, off the road on the basis of their complexion, figure and dressing sense, you should brace yourself to meet nubiles with no personality or worse, the personality of a goldfish.
"Pack your bags. Your "Get Gorgeous" dream is over/has ended" Its become commonplace for jury members of such reality shows to be acrimonious and unnecessarily brutal with the contestants. Simon Cowell sort of set the precedent for Shantanu Mehra and other other shows that host judges like Ismail Darbar, Aadesh Shrivastav, Himesh Reshammiya and Asha Bhonsle even.
Much to my chagrin, I was made to sit through a singing talent show called "Idea Star Singer Contest" on Asianet. I was pleasantly surprised by the sensitivity and friendliness of the judges like MG Sreekumar. They respect the sentiments of an artist and don't really bicker among themselves or threaten to leave the show at the drop of a hat (which I have always seen as a gimmick to push TRP, really).
I never thought I'd say this, but Simon, watch some Asianet will you? Oh, Alison, you too.
It's about drama, no less.
